Language Skills: Speaking, reading and writing
Classroom organization :whole class, pairs, individuals
Functions: Asking for help
Asking for and gibing locations of places in a building.

Materials Neededالوسائل المساعدة
Chalkboard, cards, students books, workbooks, pictures…..
Lesson Objectivesأهداف الدرس
By the end of this lesson, Ss will be able to:
- Learn to ask for help.
- Ask and say where places are in a school.
- Revise words and expressions used to express location.

Lesson Proceduresخطوات الدرس
Time
Warm Up 1. Draw a simple plan of the school on the board:
2. Ask the students to identify and write the names of the rooms e.g. sports hall ,computer lab, library…….etc….)
(Accept all responses)
Drill words and correct any spelling if necessary.

Presentation
1-Listen and read the rhyme
Follow suggested presentation procedures in the teacher’s guide page 12 .

Tip:
1- Insist on having all children participate. Concerning the shy ones, let them work in groups before they demonstrate in front of the class.
2- When giving feedback, address the whole class. Don’t address individual children. This will help weaker students to have more self confidence.

Practice Activity 2-Read and match
Presentation for practice activity: Revise prepositions and adverbs that relate to position ( See Teacher’s guide ,page 12) – ( 5 steps)

Tip: It is important to
1- make sure that the instructions are clear for all children
2- set the time for the activity beforehand
3- circulate to monitor and give feedback to children while they are working

Consolidation Activity 3- Ask and answer .Page 6 student’s book.
1. Ask more questions to consolidate the language pieces the children have just learnt.
Follow the teacher’s guide procedure page 12.( 5 steps) 10%
Production Activity Workbook ,page 4
1-Find six school words.
Follow suggested presentation procedures in the teacher’s guide page 13.

Tip: Usually call for excellent children first then the weak or shy ones to encourage them.

Teacher may correct workbook exercises on the spot using self correction , peer correction or whole class correction .

Children Assessmentتقييم التلاميذ
1. Give the children a multiple choice short quiz (MCQ to do based on the material presented to make sure the desired objectives were achieved.
Tip: You should be careful concerning the alternatives of the MCQ quiz.
The questions should be of the same length and of the same type. Only one correct answer should be there. Distracters should be chosen carefully.
